The Christian Youths Evangelistic Ministry (CHRIYEM) began in 1977. It started with a crusade organized in Efon Alaaye by a combined team of youths in and outside of Efon Alaaye in Info State now Ekiti State. The team was led by Prophet Kehinde Ola. In this crusade many souls were won for Christ including the Ogboni Fraternity. The team of the youths was later handed over to Apostle Timothy Obadare of WOSEM who had a revival in Efon Alaaye in the year 1979. The same team of the youth was used by Apostle Obadare to form WOSEM of Efon Alaaye branch. This made Prophet Obadare to make Kehinde Ola the chairman of WOSEM in then Ondo State.
The ministry was relaunched in 1986 in Efon Alaaye. The vision revealed to the founder is that it should be a youthful ministry. The ministry was first named Efon Alaaye Christian Youths, CAC Christian Youths Evangelistic Ministry, and later Christ Soldier respectively. God finally revealed the name of the ministry to be ‘The Christian Youths Evangelistic Ministry’ and the Moto to be ‘Christ Soldier’. The ministry was registered as CHRIYEM worldwide in Abuja, Nigeria.
Kehinde Ola World Outreach (KOWO)
KOWO is an evangelical arm of the ministry responsible for propagating the gospel of Christ and church planting worldwide.
KOWO was later founded by the ministry. It is a team mainly for the work of evangelism. It is saddled with the responsibility of organizing crusades/revivals to win souls for Christ from village to village, town to town, country to county, and continent to continent. It also has the responsibility of establishing the branches of the ministry worldwide.
CHRIYEM has the focus of nurturing the converted souls won over by KOWO. The converts are trained to be the soldiers of Christ to defeat the kingdom of darkness/satan. CHRIYEM is therefore a body of believers (known as a ministry or church).
The headquarters of the ministry is in Efon Alaaye.
